Quest Technologies NetLink II System Keeps Employee Heat-Stress In Check
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - June 16, 2003
Le Sueur Incorporated has installed a comprehensive NetLink II heat-stress management system. This system will monitor Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT), an environmental measurement that estimates the effects of air temperature, humidity, air velocity, and radiant energy on the human body.
This system consists of multiple QUESTemp° 34 thermal environment monitors connected to the NetLink II system. These QUESTemp° 34 monitors calculate WBGT measurements and pass them to the NetLink II system. The NetLink II system stores these measurements on a database server every fifteen minutes. Supervisors can use their web browsers to access the database server allowing them to monitor and track WBGT measurements. By tracking WBGT, supervisors can ensure employees are not subjected to excessive heat-stress. To further ensure employee safety, a number of automated indicator lights will be deployed throughout the facility that will visually indicate the current heat-stress level.
Quest Technologies is one of the most widely recognized and respected manufacturers worldwide in area heat stress monitoring and management. Quest Technologies’ Quality Management System is independently registered to ISO 9000 standards and their calibration laboratory is independently accredited to ISO/IEC Guide 25 |
